The Rain did come

I love the rain. The sound of it tapping on the roofs and windows
The smell of it emerging with the earth…the color of it on tress grass and flowers
The spirit it gives when feeling down. The good it makes when washing away the pain
The rain did come for once rightly, the rain did come…

I just found your blog, few days ago.
In this materialistic world, I come here to this blog, and try to keep a touch with my own humanbeing
Hope the rain will wash your pain, and grow your dreams

I do agree with you, the sound of rain, the smell, the feeling of the rain,... it is just great.

Hope that God would bless this land and its people.
Hope it would be a year of wealth.

I would love to shae a story with you guys..
I am so much in love with rain, while in Damascus, rain means me getting super hyper, stepping out my apt immediately and walking under the rain in Damascus muddy streets.
After coming to the US for my studies the first rain for me here was quite different, I called my best friend from home (who lived then in Texas) and I told him that it feels really strange as i am not excited about this rian as I usually am when it rains back home. we both realized that rain in Damascus is not only the smell, nor the colors of the city nor it is just another romantic surrounding. it is the actual "watering" of people that made us happy back home, the knowledge that the more it rains the less water-shortage we will experience in the summer, there is an amazing sense of happiness that invades Damascus during rain.
I, in a very childish way, tend often to wish damascus some rain before i go to bed.
